Analysis can also be used to determine if the target performance can be satisfied by assigning parameters to the upper and lower limits of machining accuracy, or conversely, to examine how far the accuracy can be relaxed with respect to the target performance. This approach can also be combined with quality engineering and design of experiments to pursue robust design.
